Our home:  one big project

We bought our house in the summer of 2001, early in Haley's pregnancy with Michael. (tip to those of you who are planning on expanding your family:  don't buy a fixer when you are expecting a child;  it is not fun). 

Anyhow, several years later, we have established quite a little home for ourselves.  We completely redid a kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a backyard.  We also built a 2 car garage, put in new carpet in two of the bedrooms and new hardwood floors in the rest of the house. We eventually fixed some indoor lighting problems and added new window treatments through most of the house. We've altered some kids rooms --yellow to blue, blue to pink... Now we've outgrown the house and no matter what we hear about the housing market tanking, it is not affecting our area to the degree that we can easily move.
